** Canceled ** Labour, Skills and Immigration Information Session

April 2, 2024 (1:30 PM - 2:00 PM) (ADT)

Description

** Canceled ** The CCW project will allow employers to connect with prospective candidates that LSI has met during the different recruitment missions in Canada and overseas. This means participating employers will share job postings and receive job applications (there could be volume). Employers interested in participating in this project should understand that it will take time and resources. However, the result would be to have a skilled worker fill vacant full-time, year-round positions. Once the participating employers and the positions are outlined, LSI will Mine the database of candidate contacts collected during Fall recruitment missions in Canada, the UK, France, and Morocco. This data will be sorted by NOC codes as listed in the Construction Worker Pilot Program (CCWP) Employers will then (with the help of the Sector council/association) provide job postings so LSI will send Job postings to candidates from participating employers. Candidates would then apply through regular job application channels. At this stage, Employers would track the applicants and verify that the candidates meet the requirements for the job and be mindful that no vetting is done to gauge immigration readiness or confirm qualifications. Employers needing more information about immigration programs can attend the information session with LSI on the requirements, the programs and the process.
